lyrics

I thought I told you I was lyin'
You said the drugs were getting to my head
If March is off the table then where are we
She said "All I want is stability"
It's a shame I took the blame for all your insecurities
Having been there before
Going to be there now
And I turned away as you dropped trough
You fought with yourself for days on end
But you brushed it off and tried to pretend
How long, how far, how can you still smoke
Wake up, wait here, learn to take a joke

Now I'm cutting it out cold
After you told me you sold your soul
Maybe now we can live happily in this hole
You've given me control

Heartbroken, left on the curb
With your heart on your sleeve saying no to the world
I try to calm you down but babe you know that it's you who thinks this way
Its a god damn shame you didn't get out there sooner
With a heavy dose of alcohol and sadistic humor
Laughing all night long about the death inside
It's a long way out but it's a hell of a ride

Now I'm cutting it out cold
After you told me you sold your soul
Maybe now we can live happily in this whole
You've given me control
